Qualifying Law Programme
Students interested in pursuing law now have an international opportunity. Those who have completed 60 credits of university-transferable study in Arts, Science, or business at Langara, can study towards a law degree at one of Britain’s leading law schools.
Study Abroad in Europe
Join us for an exhilarating once in a lifetime experience to travel, live, and study in Europe! Visit some of the most exciting cities in Western Europe and complete a full semester of academic credit, twelve (12) university-transfer credits in Art History.
Study Abroad in Italy
You could be living in Italy this summer! Based in Florence and Rome, the program features six (6) university-transfer credits in Art History. Classes will be held at museums, art galleries, churches and at historic and archaeological sites in Rome and Florence.
Greece: History
You could be standing in the mountains of Delphi, at the shrines of Apollo and Athena, looking out at the olive groves that stretch down to the sea – all while earning university-transfer credits. Greece Field Studies includes one week at Langara and three weeks on sites in Greece.
New York: Theatre
Explore Broadway, attend several plays and perhaps see one of your favourite stars on stage. See films and visit locations from many movies and TV shows. Visit Harlem and walk across the famed Apollo stage. Tour NBC Studios and see where Saturday Night Live is filmed. Go backstage at the Gershwin Theatre to learn about the production of Wicked. Meet with theatre professionals and visit historic theatrical hangouts.
Japan Field Studies: History and Culture
This is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel and study in Japan. Led by two native Japanese instructors, Nariko Takayanagi and Akemi Takei, you will visit major Japanese cities (Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima) and experience traditional and contemporary Japanese history and culture.
Archeology Field School
Archaeology Field School is a unique, hands-on experience offered during the summer semester (May-August).
London: Gothic Field Studies
Study Gothic film and literature with Karen Budra and Jacqueline Weal as you tour Gothic sites and events in London, Manchester, Whitby and Edinburgh in May 2013.
Japan Exchange ProgramRyukoku University Exchange Program
Participate as exchange students in the JAS Program (The Japanese and Asian Studies Program) at Ryukoku University in Seta, Japan.
Korean Exchange ProgramSoonchunhyang University Exchange Program
Langara students have the opportunity to study as an exchange student in a Cultural Internship Program at Soonchunhyang University in Asan, Korea.
